Meet the teacher: Merve Sagiroglu

I am a Yoga Alliance Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher and Hatha Yoga Teacher with 10 years of experience working with children and families. I am also a Mindfulness Teacher in Method Eline Snel®, trained by the Academy of Mindful Teaching.

In all my classes, I focus on creating a brave, safe, and mindful space for everyone involved — kids and parents! My yoga and mindfulness classes are designed to bring families together, fostering bonding and connection in a light-hearted, fun, and engaging way.

Together we will practice simple yoga poses, learn calming breathing techniques, and engage in dancing, singing, and imaginative play. Each class is built around a unique theme, such as Jungle Safari, Sea Life, Airplanes, Dinosaurs, Farm Animals, and more!

My toddler will be joining as my “mini- assistant,” bringing her playful and creative energy to our family yoga sessions. I look forward to meeting you all!

Meet the teacher: Sinem Akçiçek

I completed a 40-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher Training with Monkinya and currently teach weekly yoga classes at a daycare for children ages 0–3 and 3–5.

My classes blend storytelling, movement, breathing exercises, music, and dance — creating playful, mindful experiences where children can explore their bodies, emotions, and imagination. I believe children learn best through joyful engagement, where energy and calm exist together in balance.

As a mother to a 2.5-year-old daughter, I continue to learn and grow alongside her. Motherhood has deepened my understanding of early childhood development, emotional regulation, and the importance of connection in learning.

I am also currently completing my Pilates Instructor training, further expanding my knowledge of body awareness, alignment, and mindful movement.

My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can build confidence, connection, and emotional awareness through movement and play.

I look forward to practicing with your family!

Meet the teacher: Jeffrey Britanico

Hi there, I’m Coach Britanico (or Jeff is fine). I’m a certified personal trainer and boxing coach who helps parents build real-world fitness through fun, functional training.

My goal with every client and student of mine is to make movement accessible, confidence-building, and share-able with loved ones.

Why do this?

When my daughter was born, it hit me fast: taking care of a baby is an athletic endeavour. Bonding with the baby happens a lot faster in on-on-one time, and giving mom a break makes the whole house happier.

That’s why I built this program—for dads who want to get stronger, show up more, and make family life smoother.

Yoga FAQ

Not at all! Our classes are beginner-friendly, with modifications for different levels. You can always go at your own pace.

  • Bring a mat if you have one, but we have extras available. Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement.
  • Socks are recommended in the studio, but you may remove them on your mat.
  • We provide resistance bands and yoga blocks as needed.

Pre-mobile babies stay on the mat near you. We provide toys, but feel free to bring comfort items like blankets or pacifiers. Babies are always beside you; we incorporate them into the practice when possible.

If the session doesn't fill up, remaining spots may be available for drop-in at a higher rate. Pre-registration is required.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds or credits for missed classes. Like most scheduled programs, your registration secures your spot, whether or not you attend. Please review our liability waiver for more details.

These classes are run by Katherine Blanco, and are simply located at Little Words Studio, so Katherine takes care of her own registration. We’re very lucky to have her beautiful energy at our Studio!
