Liability Waiver

This is a copy of the liability waiver that all customers must sign when registering for a class, program or drop-in. This is for reference purposes only.

Release of Liability

I, [Full Name], as the parent or legal guardian of [Minor’s Name], hereby give my full consent and approval for my child to participate in activities at Little Words Studio.

I understand that participation in these activities involves certain risks, which I voluntarily accept for myself and my child. I certify that my child is fully capable of participating in all registered activities and that my child is in good health with no undisclosed physical or mental conditions that would restrict their full participation. Any known restrictions affecting my child’s ability to participate must be provided in writing to the director or staff of Little Words Studio.

On behalf of myself and my child, I agree to hold harmless and fully indemnify Little Words Studio, its management, and staff—provided all reasonable safety procedures have been followed—from any liability arising from personal injury or injury to any third party resulting from my child’s actions or participation in the activities.

Cancellation Policy

For recurring drop-in programs, you may reschedule later without penalty, provided you do so at least one hour before the scheduled session.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations due to illness or personal reasons or missed classes in multi-week sessions. However, we understand that unexpected circumstances arise. If you contact the studio to explain your situation, we may offer a credit, refund, or deferral at our discretion.

If Little Words Studio cancels a class or program due to illness, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will either reschedule the session or issue a refund.

Photography Waiver

I consent to myself and/or my child being photographed, videotaped, or filmed while participating in activities at Little Words Studio. I understand that these images may be used for promotional purposes. Please inform the director or staff in writing if you wish to exclude yourself or your child from this.

To protect all participants and prevent the spread of illness, children may not attend Little Words Studio if they exhibit any of the following symptoms, as per BC Health Regulations:

  • Pain: Unexplained or undiagnosed pain.
  • Cold symptoms: Runny nose, coughing, sore throat, watery eyes.
  • Respiratory issues: Difficulty breathing, wheezing, persistent cough.
  • Fever: 100°F (38.3°C) or higher. Children must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning.

Children exhibiting any of the above symptoms or those unable to participate due to illness must remain at home. Management and staff reserve the right to refuse admission if symptoms are observed upon arrival or during participation.

If your child or a household member is diagnosed with a reportable disease, please notify Little Words Studio within 24 hours. If a communicable illness has been identified in the facility, parents will be informed.

Immunization Policy

All participants, children and adults, must have up-to-date immunization records per Fraser Health guidelines. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to families who choose not to vaccinate.

Food & Nutrition Restrictions

No food containing nuts is permitted at Little Words Studio to ensure a safe environment for all children.

As a courtesy, please notify the director or staff if you bring food containing other common allergens (e.g., eggs, gluten, sesame).

Standard hygiene practices must be followed, including:

  • Washing hands upon entry.
  • Washing hands and face after eating.
  • Not sharing food with others without parental permission.

General Etiquette & Behaviour

Please be respectful at all times—this is a shared space.
Children learn from the adults around them, so we encourage all caregivers to model kindness, patience, and positive behaviour. Foul language, aggressive behaviour, or physical altercations toward children, parents, or staff will not be tolerated.
We acknowledge that parenting styles and beliefs vary. We ask all families to practice tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect when interacting with others.
