Raising Parents
Parent Coach: Linda Clement

Linda Clement is the founder and parenting coach of Raising Parents, offering parent education and coaching to help families thrive.
As a former La Leche League Leader and professional softball umpire, Linda's non-judgemental approach to parenting is based entirely on respect for children (and their parents.) She knows every parent loves their child, and that many children don't feel that love, a frustrating tragedy that Linda wants to help prevent.
Raising Parents leads with respect for kids and parents, sharing powerful communication tools, and understanding of kids' developmental stages, that make parenting more effective, more fun, and more joyful.
Her presentations are support for parents at all stages, to help them build their communities and lead their families with peace and joy, with lots of time to work through specific issues parents are thinking about or handling.
Linda will be offering a variety of workshops at the Studio in the coming months, check our calendar for dates and topics!
Meet Linda on Tuesday April 7
Join us for a cuppa and a little "meet & greet" with Linda!
Sign up for Drop-in Playtime ($15 per family, for babies 0-2 yrs) on April 7 and meet Linda in person over a cup of tea or coffee, while your baby enjoys our super fun playtime environment.
You can ask Linda any questions you like! About her workshops, or her parenting philosophies, or just the usual "get-to-know-you" stuff. Anything goes! There will be tea and cookies (of course) and lots of time for your little one to play and interact with other babies.
April 12 Workshop Topic:
How Not to Lose Yourself as a Parent
Come and find out how to anchor yourself in your parenting role, so you never feel lost under all the pressures to be a Perfect Parent, or even a Perfect Housekeeper...
Find out what are the factors that lead to feeling lost in the role, and how to spot them in your own life - and what to do about them to make them go away, forever.
In this workshop, you will:
- Discover how to re-centre yourself quickly in the moment, whenever you're feeling overwhelmed or off-balance
- Practice quick and simple techniques to calm your survival brain, so you can return to yourself and thrive
- Understand the forces 'out there' that were installed 'in here' when you were young, so you can see the pressure as an observer, and
- Rediscover yourself if you've been lost for a while, and keep yourself at the centre of your life and avoid becoming lost (again)
Parents are encouraged to come together, with children if suitable.
This 90 minute workshop will provide you with lots of opportunities to talk about your own personal situations, with lots of time for Q&A
With 30 years as a Leader and 16 years as an umpire, and 24 years as a parenting coach, Linda should be a lot older than her sixty years... she's a grandmother of two, mother of two, and is a painter, author, and active volunteer in her strata, business networks, and rehabilitating 'problem' cats as a foster for the BCSPCA.
Linda's books include Lazy Parenting - parenting a simpler way and The Way & The Power of Mothering - meditations on mothering, balance, and the Taoist Way.
