Helping Moms build community, prioritize wellness, navigate shifting identities, and thrive during motherhood.
The Motherflock
Building Your Own Village
These 5-6 week long postpartum groups are baby groups with a difference: it's all about MOM.
A chance for you to be spoiled, relax, find community, share experiences, learn about resources & self care tips, and build friendships.
Essentially, come out with your own little Mom tribe, feeling empowered, and ready to rock this whole Mom thing!!
January groups in Burnaby are for Moms with babies born between Sept-Dec. For more detailed information on these groups, check out this link.

Gemma Van Slyke
I'm Gemma, founder of The MotherFlock... mom of two, chocoholic, wine-lover, introvert at heart, who craves alone time but loves bringing people together.
I created The MotherFlock because, like so many of us, I found motherhood to be this wild mix of magic, overwhelm, and identity crisis. Matrescence, second time around, hit me like a ton of bricks, and I found (based on my first experience) that postpartum support and community-building for moms in Vancouver is just not where it should be.
This space is for moms seeking community, building their village, navigating the 'trenches', finding themselves, building unicorn spaces, and remembering that yes, they still matter... even if their toddler thinks otherwise 🙋🏼♀️.
(Yup, last week she told daycare that I'd died 😂🙈)
Whether you're here to find your people, get support, or just feel a little more seen - you’re in the right place.
Welcome to The Flock. We’re so glad you’re here.
Meredith is a registered clinical Counsellor at Parallel Wellness, mom of two, and someone who understands how deeply motherhood can reshape your sense of self.
At Parallel Wellness, Meredith supports women through seasons of overwhelm, identity shifts, and the emotional weight that often comes with caring for everyone else. Her work is grounded in compassion, connection, and helping moms feel more at home in themselves — especially during times when it’s easy to feel lost or stretched thin.
Meredith is honoured to be facilitating with The MotherFlock. This space is about slowing down, sharing honestly, and remembering that you still matter — not just in what you do for others, but in who you are. She’s grateful to be part of this community and your growing village.
