Program Descriptions

1:00-1:30pm: Buckle Carrier Exploration
Number of participants: 10

Interested in exploring different buckle carrier options? This class is perfect for you if you:

  • Have tried a few carriers but haven’t found one that feels quite right
  • Are just beginning your babywearing journey and aren’t sure what to purchase
  • Started with a newborn carrier and are ready for the next stage as your baby grows
  • Prefer to try multiple options before investing

In this mini class, we’ll explore my extensive collection of buckle carriers so you can experience a variety of styles and fits. I’ll guide you through what to try and how to wear each carrier properly, and I’ll provide personalized fit checks to ensure you and your baby are comfortable and well-supported.

1:30-2:00pm: Buckle Carrier Back Wearing
Number of participants: 6

Interested in back wearing in your buckle carrier but feeling a little intimidated? This class is perfect for you if you:

  • Want step-by-step guidance on how to back wear your baby
  • Are looking to build confidence with back carrying
  • Want to ensure you’re getting your baby onto your back safely and achieving a secure, ergonomic fit

In this mini class, we’ll work toward each participant getting their baby onto their back safely and confidently. You’re welcome to bring your own carrier or borrow one from my collection. Together, we’ll build strong foundational skills so you can continue practicing at home with confidence and ease.

2:00-2:30pm: Woven Wrap Exploration
Number of participants: 10

Curious about woven wraps? This class is perfect for you if you:

  • Loved using a stretchy wrap but are noticing your baby starting to outgrow it
  • Have begun exploring woven wraps and want to dive deeper into different carriers, fiber blends, or brands
  • Have fallen down the woven wrap rabbit hole and are ready to explore handwovens
  • Are interested in woven wraps but feel unsure or intimidated about where to start

In this mini class, I’ll bring my full woven wrap collection for you to explore. Based on participants’ interests, we may focus on fiber blends, brands, or learning new carries. My goal is for everyone to leave feeling more confident — able to complete at least one new-to-you carry and with a clearer understanding of which woven wraps might be the best fit for you.

Many of the woven wraps in my collection will also be available for purchase if you happen to fall in love with one!

2:30-3:00pm: Woven Wrap Back Wearing
Number of participants: 6

Interested in woven wraps and back carrying? This class is ideal for you if you:

  • Are comfortable with Front Wrap Cross Carry (or are enrolled in the Woven Wrap Exploration class and will learn it there first)
  • Have been front carrying with a woven wrap but feel intimidated about transitioning to back carries
  • Want to explore different techniques for getting your baby onto your back
  • Are interested in learning a variety of back carry options
  • Are curious about tandem wearing (front and back) with a woven wrap

In this mini class, I’ll bring my full woven wrap collection for you to explore. Depending on participants’ interests, we may focus on fiber blends and brands, back carry techniques, safe ways to get baby onto your back, or learning new carry variations.

My goal is for everyone to leave confidently completing at least one new-to-you back carry with a woven wrap, along with a clearer understanding of which wraps may be the best fit for you and your baby.

Many of the woven wraps in my collection will also be available for purchase if you happen to fall in love with one!

Additional Information:

  • Each attending adult must book their own space. (For example, if two caregivers are attending with one baby, both caregivers will need to register.)
  • Please bring your own baby or toddler, or feel free to practice with one of my dolls.
  • Class times are tightly scheduled, and sessions will begin and end promptly as listed.
  • I will bring carriers and woven wraps from my learning library. You are welcome to use your own, mine, or a combination of both during class.
  • You’re welcome to register for multiple classes. If you book two classes with a break in between (for example, Buckle Carrier Exploration and Woven Wrap Exploration), you’ll need to leave the studio after the first class and return at the start time of the next session. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate waiting in the studio between classes unless you’re registered for that session.

Sarah first became interested in babywearing through a family friend in England. She fell in love with woven wraps and it has been integral to her parenting.

Sarah was so dead set on the merits of babywearing, she refused to own a stroller – she got a lot of funny looks and reassurances she could always change her mind later.

She didn’t.

Through her involvement in the babywearing and woven wrap community online, Sarah saw an opportunity to share her knowledge and passion for babywearing with others.

She earned her babywearing certification from the Centre for Babywearing Studies, and began teaching, working solely through referrals. From there came the website, and logo, and now workshops like these!
